Care
Built for life. Designed to remain.
Lighting
Trim the wick to roughly five millimetres before the first burn and before each relight. Light from the side of the wick, not the top, to avoid scorching the vessel rim. The first burn should be long enough to allow the wax to pool to the edges of the vessel — typically two to three hours.
Extinguishing
Use a snuffer where possible. A snuffer preserves the wick. Blowing the candle out sends embers across the wax pool and shortens the candle’s life. Never extinguish with water.
The base
The Still… base is a sealed, thermally stable surface designed to remain in your home for the life of the home. To clean: wipe with a soft cloth, slightly damp. Avoid abrasive cleaners. The white finish is intentional and will deepen very slightly with the warmth of repeated use, which is part of the object — not a fault.
Replacing the candle
Your anniversary refills arrive ready to seat into the recessed centre of the base. Allow any residual wax in the previous vessel to fully cool before lifting it out. Place the new vessel in. Press gently. The fit is firm but not forced.
